Strangers Are Friends I Haven't Met Yet

Can an entire hub and a life changing experience be based on the link of a stranger? This one is. It's based on various projects I've read about on Flickr where you take a photo of a stranger. So when I found a photo on Tumblr that led back to this person's flickr https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150837998730472.739064.452502265471

I decided once and for all to do this project of 100 strangers. This is hard for a shy person to do. I hate rejection. Maybe most people will be flattered. Maybe they will be mad, but we shall see.

Also, I feel like photogenic people get their photos taken a lot, and most of the human race goes unrepresented. I started a page on Pinterest called Aging Gracefully to highlight people over 50 and found so few photos to post there compared to the thousands of young model looking people. http://pinterest.com/mystictheodora/aging-gracefully/ Everyone matters, not just the young, the hot, the celebrities and the photogenic. So this is my New Year's Resolution...to take 100 photos of strangers in the year 2012. Maybe it will get me out of the house more and I won't be such a hermit.

I have a season's pass to Knott's Berry Farm that expires in a few days, so I went over there today and got my first batch of photos of strangers. No one said no, which gave me a shot of confidence.

These are all great photos. So much fun to be able to photograph people that look interesting. I've taken photos of strangers - it was great to be able to do it. Since I told them it was for a particular site, I don't know if I feel right about posting them anywhere else, but they wound up to be great photos.
