Astrology and Relationships

I've found the study of astrology to be a fascinating field. I know I am very effected by the full moon and by eclipses. When my life is in the pits, 99% of the time a planet is in retrograde. I can tell which retrograde by the type of problems I'm having. Water problems usually come with a Pluto retrograde (a retrograde is when a planet seems to move backwards in the sky). Mechanical and communication problems usually manifest under a Mercury retrograde.

We all have personal experiences with other signs. Some good some horrific. I thought it would be entertaining to share a few of my own.

I'm a Capricorn, which is an earth sign. Currently the icon is a goat with a fishes tail but more ancient symbolism include both the mermaid and the unicorn.

I was married to a Leo. Both signs are headstrong. Leo's tend to take over everything. I got tired of my husband trying to take over the business and he was the King of passive aggression. If I wouldn't go along with what he wanted, he'd accuse me of not being a team player. When I asked him to help out with things, he tuned me out. Things were fine as long as he got to delegate.

I've dated a few Scorpios. I consider them the heartbreakers of the zodiac. They are hot and passionate lovers. Just don't expect them to be there in the morning.

I fell in love with a Taurus. Taureans love their creature comforts. He loves women. He loved them so much he forgot to mention he was married and having numerous affairs all at the same time. (Ouch).

I often end up in female relationships with other cancers. Three of them were born on July 9th...two of those were named Robin. The other one was my mother.

I once met a family of women at a store. They said for four generations a daughter was born. Not only are they all Capricorns, they were all born on January 12.

I share a birthdate with Tolkein and Mel Gibson (Jan. 3). My boyfriend shares a birthdate with Orlando Bloom. (Jan. 12) That makes us all Capricorns. We are all involved in Celtic legends and folklore.

In case you missed it, my boyfriend and I are both Capricorns. When I told my friend, she said, "You'll kill each other in a month." I think we stay together because we like challenges.

Once I heard a massage therapist ranting about changes in the law regarding massage and how unfair it was. She was talking to a group of people about it for about 20 minutes. When everyone paused for a breather, I said to her "Libra, right." Her jaw dropped. "How did you know?"

The easiest sign to spot? Leo's. I knew an arrogant fun loving loud-mouthed man.

One day I asked him out of the blue, "Just how much Leo do you have in your chart honey."

He was a quadruple Leo. That means Leo is in four of his zodiac houses.

Most people know their sun signs. But that's not your most important sign. The most important sign is your rising sign or ascendant. Mine was so cuspy, the books kept putting me in different houses. Thank goodness someone finally came up with a computerized Natal chart that goes by Longitude and Latitude, because I wasn't born in a city. Finally I know for sure my rising sign is Aries. That either makes me an introverted extrovert (Capricorn + Aries) or an extraverted introvert (Aries + Capricorn). Those are Fire and Earth in case you didn't know.
