Naughty Knitting

My first clue that knitting was not just a boring pasttime for little old ladies that didn't have a life was back in the 70's. My father had seen some designer golf club covers somewhere and he decided he wanted to knit his own. That's right. Knit. So he came home with supplies one evening and the whole family sat down to learn how to knit.

Well, he made a great set of golf club covers and set off to find a new project. He decided to knit my mom a pink bikini. That's right: Knit. And since he'd worked so hard and everything she used to wear it when we went to the newly opened Lake Perris in Moreno Valley.

Eventually I started a naughty knitting group on Yahoo and later moved it to Tribe.net. As usual, I was way ahead of my time. Now there are a plethora of patterns on Google and in books on everything from knitting condom purses to willy warmers to bikinies, lace stockings, garter belts, and amigurumi in the shape of little wankers.

Imagine the look on someone's face when they see you knitting in a coffee shop.

"Whatcha making deary? Some nice baby booties."

"No ma'am. I'm knitting a g-string!"

While I was shopping at Borders I ran across a new naughty knitting book called Domiknitrix. Of course I still want to write my own. She just beat me to it.
